BIG BEAR HISTORY SHOW
It’s time to take a trip back in time to the 1800’s, when the mad rush for gold, and the demand for lumber first brought people through the San Bernardino Mountain wilderness to Big Bear Valley.
Each week your hosts Kim & Tim Sweet dig deep into the details of Big Bears fascinating history.

Produced by local historian Rick Keppler, this show uses hundreds of rare historical photographs to graphically illustrate how a small group of camps on the south shore of Big Bear Lake, then known as Pine Knot, eventually evolved into the Big Bear Village. These historical photos bring to life the old mining towns, the cattle ranches, and the construction of the dams that created Big Bear Lake.
