Student Commercial Contest - Station Wide - Each year over the summer break Channel 6 give Big Bear Valley Unified School District students (includes Home School, Private and Charter Schools) a shot at producing their own commercial for one of our sponsors. Simply choose any Channel 6 Sponsor and make a commercial.
All entries will be aired on Channel 6 and this year the voting will be done by the public.
Commercials are to be less than one minute in length and comply with FCC guidelines for content.
The winning commercial in each division will receive a $100 cash price, $50 for Second Place, and $25 for third; with a matching award made to that student’s school on the student’s behalf.
Additionally the winning commercial will air for 30 days on all channel 6 programming with special credit given to the student or student team.

Starting in 2010 Channel 6 will be issuing an annual scholarship to a Big Bear Valley Graduating Senior that has exhibited outstanding contributions to the performing arts. Not just TV or Broadcasting, but any of the performance arts and their supporting parts. From Tech to Talent.
